Hi all,
I've noticed a few postings relating to the change in behaviour of Outlook
2002 after applying a security update. I hadn't given this to much
consideration, well not until my boss bought himself a Compaq Ipaq thingie.
Now, everytime the IPaq syncs we get this window telling us that something
is trying to access the Outlook Address book. From what I have read there
seems no way around this, and I cannot find any updates to ActiveSync or the
s/w the Compaq Ipaq is using. So my questions are
1. Is there any way of specifying what applications are allowed to access
the Outlook address book?
2. If we were to upgrade to Outlook2003 would the same thing happen?
I thought I did see something that hinted that you could selectively
allow/disallow applications to access the address book, but I can't find it
now, and I can't recall whether it was an extension under Otlook2003 or not,
hence question 2 above.
Any comments most welcome
regards
Craig
