I can't copy files to my CD-RW drive while in a program,
like Quicken or Microsoft word. "Access denied error, see
administrator" I can move a file to the CD-RW from a
folder, but while in a program I can't copy to the CD-RW.
Any suggestions. I'm using Windows XP Pro and upgraded
from Windows ME. But at the same time, I can copy files
while in a program like Quicken or Microsoft word to my
floppy. I don't know what to do.

I believe I have an answer for you...basically you need
special software to write to a CD-RW. I believe XP has it
built into the OS so that it makes it look like you can
move files directly to a CD-RW, but something like Quicken
probably doesn't have the ability to do that..I think what
you could do is save your files to a temp directory
(C:\tempdocs\ or what ever), which you will have to
create, and then move them manually to your CD-RW drive,
outside of Quicken..

You need to install software such as InCD or DirectCD, in order to do
"Packet writing". Packet writing is the mode where your CD drive appears as
another disk and files can be added, deleted, renamed, overwritten,
etc..............
