Access to Control Panel/System?Virtual Memory

I am trying to zero out the virtual memory (this is the recommended fix to
get rid of limited virtual memory notifications) on my PC. I can enter the
Control Panel but when I try to open the System window it will only stay open
for 5 seconds and then disappear (not minimized). Thus I cannot change the
virtual memory defaults. How can I keep the System window open?
 
It looks as if some virus or adware worm has infected your PC. Scan you pc
with latest version of spybot and report back the results.

What happens if you right click *my computer* and choose properties. Does it
disappear this way also.

Spybot had one problem but after it was fixed it still did not work. I tried
the right click and it dose the same thing. If you have any more ideas I
would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello

Any other thing , I can think of is the Button pressing utilities which
automatically
press a particular button after some delay. Check if something of that type
is installed.

Try booting in safe mode and see if the behaviour occurs there too.
