Hi,

I was wondering if I create an shortcut/icon for the
access database, would the shortcut still work in MS
Outlook? Such that I would email all users the shortcut
rather than letting them access it in a shared folder.

Thanks in advance,
LC

The biggest problem you'll have is that Outlook will consider the .lnk file
to be a potential hazard and will hide the attachment from the recipient. If
you zip it first, you should be able to send it. Then, as long as all files
referred to in the shortcut are in the same location on the recipient's
computer or network path, it "should" work. I have seen problems with
shortcuts where they "remember" the computer they were created on and will
try to change the path to a UNC path to get back to the file on the original
computer. I believe that this was more of a problem in Win95, I haven't seen
too much of this lately.
