I've been having problems with the Task Scheduler after I switched from a
Workgroup network to a Domain network. As an example, when I set Outlook to
start at login. I get error "Access is denied". And Outlook is not started.
I can live with this, but my Symantec Virus scanner does not start on
schedule. What is going on?

Starting Outlook with the Task Scheduler is a bad idea.
Outlook is an interactive program; the Task Scheduler d
eals with background jobs that are NOT interactive. Placing
an Outlook shortcut into the Startup folder is the usual way
to handle this sort of thing.

When you install your virus scanner it will create its own
scheduled tasks, without you having to do anything. You
may have disturbed the original settings when you joined
to the machine to the domain. The easiest way would be
to re-install the virus scanner.
