I don't remember how to suppress the Access
"flash-window" when one starts an application.
Can anyone refresh what's left of my memory?
Bill

If you create a bitmap and store it in the same folder as the database using
the same name as the database (but with extension bmp) then it will replace
the splash screen. If you want nothing (or close to it), just make a
one-pixel bitmap.

Rick,
I seem to recall that there's an option somewhere that allows
one to suppress that flash. I know I didn't create a bmp the
last time I squelched the Access flash.

Have you tried the Tools/Options/View Startup Dialog Box?
I'm not real clear on what the Startup Dialog Box is, but I guess it could
be the splash screen.

Still no luck Rick. I can't find any of my notes that tell me
how to get rid of it. I'm almost positive I was once shown
a way of totally suppressing the splash screen. Whatever
it was, it apparently became disabled, or enabled as the
case may be.
