Access Denied with Old XP Hard Drive

My previous PC died and my new PC is setup again with XP
and relevant software. My user name and password is the
same as my last machine (and Administrator Level is set).

The old Hard drive is installed and I have access to all
it's folders except my username folder in the Documents
and Settings area which tells me "Access Denied".

How can I access this folder, that contains my personal
data from the old machine, so I can then transfer across
to my new Harddrive? I have copied other folders
successfully with no access problems.

I hope this is not too vague any help would be
appreciated by e-mail or by follow up post.

Cheers
