Hi,
I will try to make this brief. My computer crashed and I
chose to do a system restore using the XP CD. (This is
the kind of restore that preserves files and
applications, just restores boot files)
The system would hang at 39 minutes remaining and it
doesn't seem to do anything, I left it for hours.
Then I chose to install a fresh copy on a different
partition and that went very well EXCEPT now I cannot
access my old files because it gives me an error message
saying ACCESS DENIED.
This only applies to my old desktop and my documents
(which contain priceless information and files)
The files are there, wholesome and with full integrity
but i can't access them because i used to have a password
on my old account.
What can I possibly do to be able to log in and copy
these files to a network drive?
