I just had to reinstall Win XP Pro SP1. I use gravity as my news
reader. When I installed into the same directory as before, I am
getting errors about all of the previous files that their access is
denied. What would cause this. No other program reinstall on top of
itself has caused this error.

What do I look for?

Thanks,
Rob

This article describes how to take ownership of a file or folder

Take ownership of the files. Look in your Help index or the MSKB to
find out how.
