The database is probably corrupt, and may or may not be salvagable. See
http://www.granite.ab.com/access/corruptmdbs.htm for a thorough discussion of
database corruption.

THe weird thing is this is on a network shared folder, all other computers
you can open database and it works fine! this is boggling me

Does the corruption appear ot be happening on a Vista machine? You

actually no, our company has not switched to vista yet. I fear the day that
happens
