I've just begun teaching FrontPage 2002, and I don't know
Access at all, but I had a student ask me if I could put
Access controls into a FrontPage web page? Any resources I
could direct him to?

Thanks!

You'll have to get the student to define "Access controls" before that
question can be answered.

Kevin,

Can you tell me how to make an Access Database that I currently have
stored on the server, accessible to users of my website? The webpage is
http://www.dvsconsultingservices.com and the results I would like to see is
a page where my end users could go, type in a "Training Topic" and it would
return the rows I have stored for that topic in the database to their
screen. I would also like to be able to have my end users input data into
the database from the page. I've tried endless resources on this, and I am
currently Active Duty in the Marine Corps with a plethera of minds that just
couldn't help me when it came to FrontPage and Access.

Thanks for anything you can provide,
Carl

Have you review the FP Database component (DRW)?

In 10,000 words or less? I don't think so. In fact, I have never seriously
used the Database tools in FrontPage 2002; I always did my ASP code in
FrontPage by hand. There are some people here who have web sites with
articles and tutorials about the database tools, though. Perhaps some of
them will point you to their web sites. I have a web site which has help for
developing your own ASP, and you're welcome to visit http://www.takempis.com
for the help that is available there.

I believe there is a slight misunderstanding here, of course it could be on
my part :-)

I believe your student wants to include Data Access Pages on a FrontPage web
site. This is not a really easy task, but it can be done.

Here is a link:

I think that the other responses you are getting here are alternatives to
trying to do this, but as regards the original question, I hope this article
helps.

John,

Your answer is the one I was looking for. However, I do appreciate all
the other replies.

Thank you all,
