access column

Hi,
I am new to access and made a big mistake and accidentally deleted some
columns on a database i was working on. Unfortunately, the columns got
permanent deleted. I am trying to make new columns in that database, but the
program does not allow me to do so. It tells me "too many fields defined."
Please help!! Thank you!!!
 
Compact and repair will make it forget that the deleted fields were ever there.

Sounds like you are probably using too many fields - doing a spreadsheet
instead of a relational database.
