access 97 macros

I have a an access 97 database with macros. When i attempt to run a macro
with the file opened in access 2003 I receive an invalid reference. It
continues to work when opened in access 97. I tried converting the file but
received the same error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have limited experience with this issue but when it has happened to me I
opened a module (any module) in design view. Then click on "Tools" then
"References". My guess is you'll have some that are "Missing". If so,
uncheck them and scroll through the list to find their replacements.
