All I want to do is change the width of a field in my form, however when I
select the field and change either by using the width property or dragging,
ALL of my fields re-size, is this normal behaviour in 2007, can't find a
property in the form that says size all fields equally, I must be missing
something SOOOO obvious.....

Thanks for any help - SHeila

Thanks, can u give me a clue how to group / ungroup fields - I just created a
form using Wizard so if its grouped Access has done it......

This is a new form of grouping that occurred in access 2007, I can assure
you once you learn how to use it properly, you'll find it will the most
useful and amazing features in 2007, this is especially so when designing
reports.

However, the first few times to use it, and especially on a form, sometimes
you don't want this type of grouping at all...

So,

When you have the form in design mode simply click on the text box you want,
you'll notice that in the upper left area, you see a cross "+", simply click
on that, and then the whole group of fields will highlight.

Now, on the ribbon, click on arrange, in the "control layout" group you will
see

Tabular, Stacked Remove

Simply click on remove tab, and you'll ungroup the fields, and they they'll
simply behave as before....

Also, to help you out with this new feature, take a look at this video:

Automatically align controls on a report
http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/access/HA102374121033.aspx

and also
Add or remove controls from a layout
http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/access/HA102765511033.aspx

Really, do watch both videos, they un-lock what this new "layout" feature of
ms-access is, and it is a "must" learn new feature, even when you DO NOT
want to use it as in your case..

All options under Layout are grayed out.

[Rant: I've been using Access for over 10 years and to spend 20 minutes
trying to figure out how to ungroup a bunch of form objects is INFURIATING!]
