I appreciate your response, but templates saying "2000" won't work in 2002.
I did find a DVD collection DB on MS Office site but when I try to download
it says "can't locate Access 2000." I believe 2002 came out for XP and maybe
that is the problem.
It's hard to say why Microsoft has limited this download in this way. There
is a possibility, however remote, that this sample includes some
functionality that was introduced in Access 2002, but would not be expected
to run in Access 2000. If you provide a link to the sample in question, I
will try to have a look at it for you, to see if it can be compiled and run
in Access 2000.
The template will work, but you have to work a little to get the download...
When I try to download it I hit two roadblocks:
A message about needing cookies enabled, and if I say yes to that.. a
message saying that my web browser doesn't support Active X controls.
Scrolling down, I get to a section heading that says: "To download this
template manually.. blah blah", and instructions follow to download the .cab
file. You will probably need to use a compression program like WinZip or the
like to un-zip the .cab file.
So make sure you scroll to the bottom of the page to see if there are
instructions - the template opened fine for me after I hopped through the
hoops...
Cheers!
