Access 2000 - You Cancelled The Previous Operation

Hi

I have been having a problem with my access databases corruption on a
certain form for over a year. Each time it happens I have to import all
the objects, (over hundred), into a new DB and re-create the form in
question. (Backup copy of code, and copy controls from backup copy).
Then re-set all my permissions this is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE ARSE, however
I can't find out why? The form has not been changed in about 2 years.
(program has been in development for 6 yrs).

I have a new problem. Any time I try to run any code, at all, macro,
module etc I get numerous dialog boxes stating YOU CANCELLED THE PREVIOUS
OPERATION. I Cannot use the DB at all. I am pulling my hair out as to
why. It just started happening. I have checked all my references, I
have re-imported all the objects, (except modules which I exported to txt
and then imported). The copy worked fine for about a day and is now
showing the same symptoms. Older backup copies of the DB operate fine,
but I need the changes made as a lot of work has been undertaken since
the last backup. More importantly I need to find the source of the
problem as I lose over a day each time it happens with rebuilding the DB,
and set-up, security etc.

Compact and repair often triggers the initial problem outlined above, but
certainly doesn't solve either. /decompile is generally no use either.
Hasn't helped at all on the new problem.

PLEASE HELP!! I'm ready to sling both laptops out of the office window at
the moment.

Is your database split into a back-end and front-end? If not it should be
and this may be part of the culprit with your database troubles.
 
Yes the database is split into a FE and BE.

The main form which used to cause the problems was the initial startup form
which did the table re-linking, the security checking and the like.

Now it is failing on any code run in the front end module.

also one other thing, after is bounces around a number of YOU CANCELLED
THE PREVIOUS OPERATION dialog oxes it does come up interemittently with
another message, MODULE NOT FOUND.

i have manually checked for the presence of every module for each form
and report and module in my system, and they all appear to be present.
Trying to open the mdb on another machine with access 2000, (win 2k
rather than winxppro) results in a critical memory exception and access
crashes.

Has your programe grown too big?
What access verson you are currently using?
When did you switch over to the new Access?

No, its still tiny, (less than 15 mb)
I switched over 12 - 18 months ago
I am currently using A2000 was access 95.
