Access 2000 form slowing down

We have a problem with a fairly complex form (with several
subforms) that normally opens in a couple of seconds over
a network. However, it gradually becomes slower and
slower (up to 3 minutes and counting) to open, over the
course of about a week of use.

We can fix it temporarily by exporting the form to a clean
database, compacting and reparing it there, compacting and
repairing the original database, and then re-importing the
form.

Any ideas about what is going on, and what we can do to
fix it permanently?

Several possible causes. First thing to try would be turning off Name
AutoCorrect:

Turning off Subdatasheets (property in table design), and keeping the
