Hi everyone!

I have on my PC both Access 2000 and Access XP installed
(in different directories). I need that the default
version of Access that opens when I double-click
an .mdb, .adp etc. file to be Access XP, and not Access
2000, as it is now. (I don't need a shortcut where I can
type the location of the desired Access version, I need
that Access XP were the default Access.) What can I do
for this?

Thanks in advance,
Karibusz

Unfortunately this doesn't help, because in the Open With
window only one Microsoft Access appears, and when I
browse to the other version of Access, there still
remains one single Microsoft Access in the Recommended
Programs section of the window. Choosing it doesn't
change anything.

I've completely givven up on forcing .mdb to be associated with a particular
version so I've bit the bullet and made my own extensions instead
ie a2k for acc2000 etc
Export H_KEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mdb & replace .mdb with .a2k is the quick and
"correct" way of obtaining this
