Acces and external drive

Hello:

I have a wireles router with storage link attached to a external hard drive
I just upgraded to Windows vista and setup the network, I can see the
external drive but when I try to access it, it asks me the user name and
password, even typing the right info, I still get the invalid user name or
password, I.m I missing something??, thanks!!!
 
What brand is the router? Have you checked with the manufacturer to see if
the sharing portion is compatible with Vista? These types of routers aren't
that common so this is easy to see that it might not have gotten much
testing during beta.
 
Its a Linksys, I have tried other routers and have the same problem, I call
linksys tech support and windows vista tech support and nobody knows what is
going on
