About to give up....

I have been trying to get my new comp upgrades to work for weeks now. I have
passed many problems but now I have been running into a problem I have no
clue how to resolve it. Here are my specs:
Windows XP x64 Bit Edition
Maxtor 80 GB Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 128 MB
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2GHz
ABIT "KV8" K8T800 Chipset
2 256MB RAM
Aspire 520W 12V

All this hardware is new. I got the new HDD formatted and now I can get to
the Windows setup (the one with colors and windows graphics) and it goes
through installing windows. I have been getting stop errors at random times.
Sometimes it would happen when I first get into the setup and sometimes I
would get through all the menus and I would be within less than a minute of
completing Installation and it goes to a blue screen that says alot of junk.
There are 3 that always seem to pop-up the most and they
say.....IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL......SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION......PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.........I
don't really care what these mean I just want to know how to fix them.
I have ran out of options here and as of right now I am planning on sending
all the parts back to where I got them and trying to count my losses. I
really want my computer work, please help me I have no clue what to do.
 
If I had to bet on it, I'd say that it's bad and/or incompatible memory. Try
one stick at a time, and see if the problems go away. If that doesn't work,
try different RAM.
