About How to obtain workarounds for using Shiva LanRover /E with W

Dear all,

I need urgent response if there is any possible workarounds to get Windows
XP professional configured to use Shiva LanRover /E. ...as far as I know
Intel Corp. and Eicon no longer support it and so drivers are not available.

Earliest response is very much appreciated
 
Thx ;) But instead of charged web site, do u know any free drivers site
available for poor users like me?

Hi Bob,

Actually I've installed Win2000 drivers ( and even Win9x drivers), however,
querying modem under diagnostics tab in Modem properties will have the TWO
logs listed at the end of mail.

And Device status under General tab in Shiva Dial-Out Service Properties
contain the messages:

" Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be
corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."

Do you have any idea what's going wrong?

BTW, the model of Shiva LanRover /E should be Shiva LanRover /8E.

Unfortunatly I don't see that XP is telling us anything other than it
doesn't like the drivers you have, and if Intel doesn't have working
ones for XP, and you must use the Shiva, you may have to use Win2000.
 
I have encountered the same issue and believe that drivers, per se, ar
not the problem. The problem is that the PPP Protocl requires a Shiv
Security Pack. There was one written for Windows 2000 but it does no
work with XP. There has not been, nor will there be a Shiva Securit
Pack written for XP because, in the words opf Intel, "Nobody use
dialup any more". At least, that's what they told me when I called the
last year about this.
