About Header, Footer, section problem

I use word 2003. Following are problem I met

Problem 1
In one file, I need to create two sections. At first section I want to display page number on the bottom. At second section, I want to display page number on the top. But when I insert page number into section two, I found section one also changed. That is, both top and bottom display page number

Problem 2
When I insert page number on the top (header), I find there is solid line on the top. I tried to remove this line but failed

Would someone tell me how to solve these problem

Select the section 2 header. Clear the 'Same as previous' button on the
Headers and footers toolbar before making your change.

In the display or when printed?
 
For Problem #1, there is a button on the 'Header and Footer' Toolbar (Pops up when clicking View - Header and Footer) called 'Link to previous'. It's the 4th one over from the 'Close' button. If you mess with that button you can have different headers/footers across section breaks. Hope this helps.
