about extracting files

could the incorrectly supplied password damage rar archive content(mp3
files), i.e. when we do supply wrong pass, so RAR tries extract content, but
operation fails?

I doubt it would change the original file; it would just extract to the
wrong pw, then fail.. But you can test this yourself. Make a copy of a
test file, then enter the wrong password. After it fails, try the
extract again with the correct password.
