At the moment on my motherboard runs the athlon xp 1700.
Runs the motherboard properly with the athlon xp 2600 or 2700?

According to Asus, yes to 2600+ (266FSB)(Model 8 - Thoroughbred). Does not
list the 2700+ as an option.
