Hello,

I´ve search a lot but I can´t find a concrete answer. Can I use a
harddisk with more than 120GB with an Asus A7V-133C?

Thanks...

These are the three URLs I have bookmarked:

http://www.asus.it/support/english/techref/48bithdd/index.aspx (modern)
http://www.asuscom.de/support/FAQ/faq076_32gb_ide_hdd.htm (older)
http://web.inter.nl.net/hcc/J.Steunebrink/k6plus.htm (patched BIOS)

Since your disk is less than 137GB (decimal spec), all the motherboards
listed on the first link above, are more than able to handle your disk.
The other two links address lower limits that existed on older boards.

While not relevant to your question, if a disk is larger than 128GB/137GB
www.48bitlba.com can help (no, you don't need to buy a BIOS from them, no
matter what the adverts say :-)

I´m sorry I meant wether it´s possible to use a harddisk with more

it´s possible with a BIOS that supports 48bit addressing.

"A7V133-C Yes 1008"

Ok - fine, my board supports 48bit LBA with BIOS versions equal or
greater than 1008, but when I look at the second link:

"A7V..-VM / A7V-M / A7S-VM / A7V-E Aktuelle Version (F/B) bis
einschl. 128 GB"

Is this page outdated? According to this page it isn´t possible with
my motherboard :-( - I´m a little bit confused...

That´s a very good site :-)
