A7N8X and SMBus

Does anyone have any information on how to use the SMBus or know where
to find it? For example, can it be used independent of the operating
system? Can it be used to monitor Bios information such as temps, fan
speeds, voltages, etc? I would like to monitor these items on an
external display even when I am not using the Windows operating system.
I have looked at the Asus site and several others, but could not find
anything. I found some information on SMBus and I2C at some other
sites, but nothing about how to get from the motherboard to the outside
world.

Its not that kind of bus. It's internal to the architecture. Used for sensor
diagnostics.
