New to the Internet, eh?
It's called SPAM. They are trying to get you to run the attachment so you
will either ruin or compromise your computer.

aj,

Usually they either attach viruses or send you to a site where they can
attack your machine.

Microsoft NEVER sends unsolicited patches to anyone!! They send you a URL to
a Microsoft website that contains an article about the patch and a clickable
link to run the patch IF YOU WANT TO (after reading what it is about).

Practice Safe Computing! Never even open unsolicited messages like the one
you received.
