I have a notebook which OS is windows XP sp1. The total spaces of C
disk are 24G . But recently its available spaces reduced strangely. Now the
available spaces of C disk are only 4G and also continue reducing. I had
show all the files include the system file and hidden file , But total file
sizes are only 5G, other files about 15 G sizes couldn¡¦t be seen. I had
close the ¡§system restore¡¨ function, also scanned the viruses and Trojan
horses, reorganized the disk, deleted the temp files , But couldn't find
any strange thing.
The available spaces continue reducing!!!
Anyone can help me, Thanks!

Depends on many factors.

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot and HijackThis:

You can delete the following files to save disk space:

C:\Windows\System32\dllcache\*.*
C:\Windows\driver cache\i386\driver.cab
C:\Windows\inf\*.pnf

1. Prefetch
2. System Restore Points
3. Hyberfil
4. C:\Windows\System32\dllcache\*.*
5. C:\Windows\driver cache\i386\driver.cab
6. C:\Windows\inf\*.pnf
