Am using Outlook 2003 and I find ONLY when replying to an email, that
the vertical cursor disappears approximately 3/4 of the way to the end
of the line....it is rather frustrating to correct errors because the
cursor is gone!
Any hints?

Yes I get this as well! I also have a problem in
Contacts. Try typing some text and 2/3rds the way along
in my case the cursor disappears. The solution is to
create a new Windows account and create a new email
profile. BUT I haven't done this because although the
email then works I do not want to have to move all my
programs over to the new Windows account. So I am still
using the original Windows account.

There must be a better way. Somebody!

(Just a thought. Are you using McAfee VirusScan? I have
had a lot of problems with this and I have suspicions
that this may be causing the problem)

Forgot to say the problem in Contact is just in the
notes section (bottom right).

Andrew:

I do NOT use McAfee and this also happens when I use Contacts and in the
name and email address portion....

Originally I did not have a cursor in the email and
address fields but then miraculously the cursor appeared.

You could try creating a new Windows account to see if
that works.

Dude I think I've sussed it

Go to Control Panel>Appearance an Themes>High
Contrast>General Tab> and take out the check mark in the
automatic resetting.

It works for me. Cursor now permanent!

All the best

Do you have Windows XP?
If you do, go into Control Panel but make sure it is not
the "Classic View" and do the following

Go to Control Panel>Appearance an Themes>High
Contrast>General Tab> and take out the check mark in the
automatic resetting
