I have had the problem that my Winxp sp2 and completely update was hit badly
and I needed to "start over".
I ran my OEM winxp sp1 disk as a repair install but the disk never got past
the 34 minute mark. This is the original Microsoft disk. After that I was
unable to get past the reinstall mark. I had to do a complete install of the
windows XP sp1 and then update it all the way.
So I have now had to reconstitutemy desktop etc.
I wish I knew how this happened ( repair install sticking like that). Any
ideas on how to avoid this then next time would be very helpful and
appreciated.
