How can I tell whether I have Windows XP Pro 32 or 64
installed on my machine?

Don't laugh. Or rather, go ahead and laugh, but tell me
anyway.:)

I know that in the system window it shows the version of
windows. I just can't confirm to you if when you have 64
bit it will say so. But I'm gonna guess it is. There are
two ways to get to the system window,

Right click on my computer and go to properties.

Go to Control Panel> Syetem.

If it doesn't say 64 bit, chances are, its not, because
32 bit is the standard so it wouldn't mention it.
Hope I Helped

I don't have xp 64 but I'm sure if you right click my
computer and the general tab will say xp 64. Are you
running high end applications and have an itanium
processor? If not you probably don't have 64 eventhough
it can run without these things
