You seem to know your stuff so here's a question for you. Is it possible
that either MSN Messenger (which is not running that I can see) or Windows
Messenger is causing this error:

Application popup: OPXPApp.exe - Application Error : The instruction at
"0x007808f2" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be
"read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The reason I'm thinking along this lines is that when I go to the event.asp
link, I get this:
=================================================================
Details
Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 26
Source: Application Popup
Version: 5.2

Explanation
The program could not load a driver because the program user
doesn't have sufficient privileges to access the driver or because the drive
is missing or corrupt.

User Action
To correct this problem:

a.. Ensure that the program user has sufficient privileges to
access the directory in which the driver is installed.
b.. Reinstall the program to restore the driver to the correct

The trigger is the version 5.0 indicator in the second piece. I think
I'm running Windows Messenger Version 5.0... have you run across something
like this in your travels? Everytime I get this message, my ADSL connection
drops and occasionally I'll get a BSOD.

Thanks Jonathan,

I always thought OPXPApp was somehow a link between Office Professional XP
and Messenger (OPXP...get it). I've uninstalled OmniPass (it came
preloaded)...just hope it doesn't mess anything else up because now I have
to re-boot...

It came preloaded on my Compaq Presario. I haven't had any problems since
uninstalling it, nor have I found any real use for it. I wonder how much
more useless stuff they put on this thing. Now if only I can get my web cam
drivers to load without looking for a phantom .sys file.
