A photo is in Word. How do I make that pic go from 300 pixels to .

I have data and pictures in Word document and they are with 300 pixels. I
wish to change them to 600 or more. How do I do this? Do I first need to
remove the photo into a photoshop to work with it? Thanks. Nancy
 
Yes, you will have to change the image resolution in a graphics editing
program and then reinsert the image into Word.

Thank you for your helpl, but now could you tell me if I have to work with
the orginal or may I somehow take the photo out of the document straight to a
photoshop to change the pixels? Thanks. Nancy
 
It's better to start with the original image. If you want to have both
the original and your hi-rez versions, you can make a copy of the
original and open the copy in your graphics program, or open the
original in your graphics program and "save as" to a different filename.

If you don't have the original image, you can save your Word file as
..html, and Word will export the embedded image to a separate file, but
you'll probably lose some resolution doing this. You might also try
copying the image from Word and pasting it into your graphics program.

Thank you and some of them I do not have the orginal so I will try to copy as you have suggested. I am NOT an old hand at all of this but I am learning. Nancy

Hi Garfield, I know this is a long shot, but are you familiar with Publisher
also? I am working on moving data and photos into Publisher from Word and
there are huge questions. It seems impossible to find a book covering 2003.

You cant add res to a raster. You can fake it - but is very rarely
worth the exercise. You need to retake the pictures at a higher res.
