I get this message about every 30 to 45 seconds. My connection is CONSTANTLY dropping out! What makes it worse is my phone is Voice Over IP. I have checked the wires and everything seems ok, and Verizon has checked the connection and all seems to be ok (they checked it over the line --no one came out to my house of course).
What else can I do?
Thanks

Can you disconnect the phone and see if the network connection strengthens?
Could this be a message from a local network connection from a laptop to a
router?

I would suggest you pursue this more vigorously with you communiaction
supplier.

Is the system that is showing the message plugged into a switch or hub? I
have seen this action on more than one occasion when the switch (were all
SMC products) was failing. Replacing the switch fixed the problem. Could
be a problem with the switch on the router if plugged into a router/switch
combo device. As a check, plug the DSL Modem into the computer without
using the router/switch and see if the problem goes away (make sure the
computer's firewall is active.)
