"A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:c0005338 in VXD VMM(01) +
00004338. The current application will be terminated."

What does this mean?

Hi,

Are you in the right group? The term "fatal exception error" is generally
applied to Win9x systems (and in this particular message it indicates a
problem with the virtual memory manager). WinXP systems have "stop" errors.

It means that the application (Outlook Express) ran into some sort of
issue when trying to perform a function (such as printing or the
like).

What where you doing when this error occurred?

It does not. It's a Fatal Exception 0E, not OE. It usually indicates
problems with drivers.

I wonder what is making my computer shut down like this? I took out one of
the RAM modules to see if I had a bad ram. The VMM stands for virtual memory
manager.
