Your post is very difficult to understand. If you need more help, please
go to this link to see how to make a good newsgroup post:

What I'm getting from your post is that you returned your computer to
factory condition by using the Restore Disk that came with the machine,
although you might also be referring to XP's System Restore. I really
can't tell. Doing a System Restore should not have affected your data,
but since you didn't say what "my stuff" means, I can't be more
specific.

If you used a Restore Disk, then do nothing further on the machine and
contact a local professional computer repair shop (not a BigStoreUSA
type place) for data recovery services. If the local shop cannot help,
contact a professional data recovery firm like DriveSavers
(www.drivesavers.com). Professional data recovery firms are expensive,
but only you can determine the worth of your data.

You recovered your system to an system restore point, so you basically
reset your computer to an earlier point in time. Do you know how long
ago -- what was the date on the restore point?

I recommend that you go back into the sytem restore menu and try to
find a more recent restore point, and restore your computer to that
point.

Good Any work files (word documents, address book listings,
etc.) that you saved since the restore point are STILL wherever you
saved them. However, you must re-install any software you installed
since that restore point, becasue all traces are removed from the
system's registry. The files should still be there, but the programs
must be re-installed.

HTH!

Or use the third option in System Restore = Undo my last restoration

No s**t, thanks microsoft for bringing computing to the shallow end of the gene pool...
