Everytime I put in a floppy in the the A Drive, it say that the disk is not
formatted, but all of the disks are properly formatted and I have used them
in my computer before, but now I can't access any of them. Any ideas as to
what the problem may be or how to fix it?

Open a command prompt and see if it works from there. It is also possible that your floppy
drive is failing. If you have had your computer opened recently, then you may also want
to check the cables to be that nothing is loose or broken.

My computer has never been opened. I'm a little rusty on my general computer
knowledge, how do I open a command prompt? The A Drive hasn't been used for
over a year.

Also possible it's set to be the wrong type of drive in the BIOS. Normal
setting is 3.5, 1.44MB.

On most computers, you press Delete at startup to access the BIOS settings.
On some HPs and Dells it's F2.

Perhaps then it's clogged with dirt and grime. And needs a cleaning.
Especially if you are a smoker.
