a drive not working

it works fine in safe mode but when i try to use after booting up normally i get the message it is not accessible, incorrect function. in computer manager it is enabled and working ok, and when i right click,properties for the a drive in my comp it is also fine. i did get a different msg before (but cant remember how i got it!!) saying i didnt have admin permission or something but ive looked at my user account in control panel and im the computer administrator.
All other drives are working fin

New Floppys are about $7 to $15. They sometimes go bad. This is an
inexpensive attempt to correct. I have had the same issue before, and this
helped. Or, maybe someone else has another suggestion. Good Luck.

OOPS, sorry, I didn't read your message carefully enough. A new floppy may
not solve the issue, if you can use it fine in safe, but NOT in regular
mode. That's a hot one. Hope someone else can help. Good luck.

maybe another user has a program that has the floppy drive tied up, therefore, your name wouldn't have permission to use it - it would tell you it's in use by another person. I dont know if you do have other logins on your system, but I figured I would suggest this.

What error or other indications are you getting? Did you try re-installing
