I have heard of two possible different hacks for a 9700. One is via
the Omega drivers that takes to a 9800 and the other supposedly takes
you two a 9700 Pro. Anyone care to explain what these hacks do?
Worth doing? Tkx.

Basically it activates the "hidden" optimization in the Catalyst drivers
which are available the card "recognized" as a 9800. That is how this hack
is possible by fooling the driver into believing that your card is a 9800.
It sure worth every hassle, as there is 7~10% of performance gain in AA&AF
scenarios.

Wasn't that hack or optimization incorporated into the Cat 3.4 anyway? Which
is why the 3.4 had been expected so impatiently by the community?
