Dr Nic

having just set up a D-link 624+ wireless router, hard
wired to Desktop and Wi-fi to Fujitsu Amilo-D laptop with
inbuilt 802.11b w-lan card I am enjoying the freedom now
available to me. however I have one question, if i enable
802.1x network authentication on the laptop (XP Home)
then the wireless connection keeps "dropping" every 5 or
10 minutes, without it enabled - no problem!!! THe router
is able to cope with net authentication (and has latest
firmware) and Win XP is up to date. Does anyone else have
the same problem or is there a fix to this??
Many thanks
Dr Nic

Dr Nic,

disable 802.1x authentication, unless you actually have it in
your network. Most likely you don't.
