You have 32bit.. If you had the 64bit version, it would have stated that..

You asked, therefore you have the 32bit version.

Thanks for that info, I now have another question

What is the difference between 32 bit & 64 bit and is it possible to
upgrade from 32 to 64

Thanks again Val

Upgrade?
No.

Clean install?
Yes.

Difference - at least the basics...
---------------------------------------------
- Can use more system memory (32bit limited to 4GB - and you don't really
get to use all that in the way you might think.)
- Can run 64bit applications (if you don't have any - well...)
- Can be difficult to find drivers for older hardware for.

Now is a great time to point you to one of the easiest ways to find
information on problems you may be having and solutions others have found:

Search using Google!
http://www.google.com/
(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

Differences and Advantages Between 32-bit (x86) VS 64-bit (x64) Windows
Vista
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/...tween-32-bit-x86-vs-64-bit-x64-windows-vista/

I have used Vista for the comparison because XP 64 Bit never really became
mainstream.
Lately a number of vendor have been pushing 64 Bit Vista which more demand
for 64 bit
versions of applications.

Never tried migrating from a 32 to 64 bit OS.
So I don't have an answer. Googled and most
information on XP 64 bit is 3 or more years old.

One of the biggest advantages is breaking the 4GB or ram
limitation of 32 Bit Windows. The biggest down side is a lot
of applications are not 64 compatible or will not take full advantage
of a 64 Bit OS.

Hardware advances are always ahead of software as 32 bit programmers
need to learn new skills a play catch up.
