I just got a new PC with Vista and the new windows mail.
I have 5 different accounts in order to be able to send mail from 5
different locations with different webservices and that works. BUT I can´t
find anywhere to switch off the retrieving function for 4 of the 5 - so now I
receive each mail 5 times !!
What to do ???

Try this:

Click on Tools, then Accounts, then for each of the email accounts,
click on the account then Properties. Find the box before Include
this account when receiving mail or synchronizing, and for one account,
leave the checkmark there and click OK, but for the others, click on
the box to remove it, then Apply, then OK. After the last account,
click on Close.

This could delay sending out messages, so then click on Tools, then
Options, then Send. If there is no checkmark in the box before
Send messages immediately, click on this box, then Apply. Click
on OK.
