I am trying to perform a full system backup of all my
files onto a FAT32 hard drive, but it is not allowing a
backup of larger than 4GB. The hard drive has 80GB free
and I am trying to backup 8MB. Any thoughts?

You'll need to convert the file system on that drive to NTFS.

You'll need to convert the file system on that drive to NTFS.

Or use a backup method that splits the backup into smaller chunks.

BootIt NG does that, when you use it to image a HD volume; you choose
what size chunks you want (e.g. 2G for FAT32, or 640M for CDR).

A bit less risky than a one-way file system conversion...
