Hello,

I just bought a new Seagate 200GB HD today.

I flashed my BIOS to support the 48bit harddrive, and I
updated to Service Pack 1 for XP Professional, and I
enabled the 48bit LBA withing bios. But Windows still only
recognizes 128GB of 200GB.

Is there anything that I missed, that is causing the problem?

Thanks.

I have the same problem. Wanted to install my ADSL line, but get the message that there is a problem with the USB port. What can I do??? HELP!!

Kent,

I'm having the same 127 GB+ problem as the other
respondents with my hard drive. I also read MS' response
and applied the appropriate fixes.

I don't have Partition Magic, but what did you have to do
to get around this problem?

Thanks,
Bruce

Make sure you download all your Window XP updates and the problem should fix itself. I had the same problem yesterday, but was fixed after downloading SP1
