I don't really know where my inquiry should go, but I
thought I'd start here. I use Windows XP Home on a Dell
Dimension 8200. Here is the problem: I'm trying to
upload some web pages & I connect using my FTP software &
I get a msg that says "425 possible PASV port theft,
cannot open." Can *anyone* tell me what I need to do to
get this working? I am really frustrated & don't know
what steps to take to try to rectify the situation. If
I'm in the wrong group to discuss this, please direct me
to the correct one . . . Thanks so much!

I did. All the posts I saw gave extremely technical info
that dealt w/ servers. I couldn't figure out where or how
to use the info.

turn your firewall off for a few. use leech ftp or the
commandline one built into windows. do not open IE with
the firewall off of course.
