At the moment I have one group where no postings are shown (it's an
intensively active gropup)

Another active group (usually ~1posting per hour) suddenly I have not ben
able to vew any messages posted the last 24h.

Hints please!

And I have one group which automatically Marks Read certain posters no
matter how I score them. And I DLed and reloaded the new Beta. Still does
it.

Click the plus-sign and the down-arrow next to the group name in the
header list and make sure your "view" and "filter" options are not set
to something unusual. Next, check any option settings you may have
changed from the default under "Selected Group Options" (especially
Purge, Retrieve and Initial View). If all looks okay:

Set the view to ALL messages, select an old message in the group, hold
down CTRL and SHIFT while clicking "Settings", click "Selected
group/article info", reduce the value of "LocalMsgHigh" by 20, then do
a "Get New Messages". That should retrieve the 20 most recent
messages on the server and allow you to check their dates. If the
dates are old then the server may be messed up. If nothing gets
retrieved then your ISP may have RE-NUMBERED all the messages in the
group.

<and put "[Dialog]" in square brackets at the beginning of your subject
line.

Your news server may have renumbered the articles.
Try Online > Sample headers from selected groups...

There must have been some major fackup in the mess. db. There where all
kinds of strange effects in them. After intallation of the latest update
everything works well.
