404 ERRORS

I have a problem with Internet Explorer whenever I venture upon sites which
do not exist. Instead of getting the normal 404 error page I'm taken to a
different page and pop-up advertisements (warnet.com and lop.com) also
occurs. If you have any ideas why this is happening and know a solution to
restore ie explorer please respond. thx.
