3d pinball game wont run

I have the game 3d pinball as part of my windows xp .But the game wont run.Its opens up briefly when I click it to start but then just closes
Is there anything I can do to get it to work properly?
 
Did you try to reinstall it? In add/remove (windows components on the left
side)?.
