what is a good score in 3dmark2001se for a gf fx5200
mine managed a measily 4200
does the cpu and ram count in the test?

it makes no sense, my m8 got a gf4mx-440....his (overclocked) managed 5900......mine is overclocked as well :eek: :angry:

considering my
1ghz
290mb sdram
(unfortunatley) 1-2*agp

what would be the reason for the low score?

i need to know so i can fix it :bow:
 
My system is a 2400+, 768Mb 266 ram plus a Radion 9700pro

them main upgrade that boosted my 3dMark score was the graphics card.

My score is 11,400

Other threads have shown that there has been some cheating with scores and setups by manufacturers but I don't really care about that. My score has always improved when I've upgraded so I feel that my money has been well spent - especially the graphics card.

My overall feeling is that when you start to notice underperformance when using the computer it's time to upgrade. If you aren't noticing delays or stutter etc then there's no need to rush out and buy the latest spec.
 
thats a good score, but would a a new mobo, more ram, faster proc boost my score?

Never seen 10,000 for 3Dmark 2003.

Think the record is around 8000 with vapour phase cooling (or LN2) on both CPU and graphics card.

It set to run once, and the picture is a mass or artifacts.



my setup is
Antec Sx1040b 400w case | ASUS A7N8X Deluxe | XP2500 BARTON running @ 2.2ghz XP3200 | Crucial 9800 pro | 2 x twinmoss 256mb using dual channel | WD 80g HDD | COOLMASTER 7

benchmark is only 5600 and was told thats about right.
how you got that score is beyond me.

An FX is a 4/8x card ... get an MX440 or a new MB

My car's speedo says it'll do 120mph ... I'm still trying, but I think the engin needs changing. :P
 
i am getting a new mobo, how much of an increase in score would i get from
xp2500, Msi k7N2 Delta-L Nforce2, 1gb crucial pc 2600, ?
