Beyond Vesalius v2.0 -
Beyond Vesalius is a set of interactive programs designed to teach
sectional and radiological anatomy. The program was designed for use in
the 'Human Structure' course during the first year medical curriculum
at the Wright State University School of Medicine. Students use the
computer program to explore corresponding cross sections, CT scans and
x-rays of the human body. Labels on each image are linked to textual
information about that particular structure. Two self-testing modes may
be used for the cross sections and CT images (simple identification and
"secondary" questions concerning highlighted structures). For each
region of the body, a set of normal x-rays is included; these also
contain study and self-testing modes. Programs have been developed for
the head and neck, upper extremity, thorax, abdomen, pelvis and lower
extremity.
Windows users - should download the appropriate player file for either
Windows95 or Windows 3.1
